| Classical pocket watch. Vote for it or technology. | | I have heard from many that Pocket Watches are old fashioned and ugly and they should stay in antique shops or in films for all they care. But really I don't agree.
I know it's easy having a wristwatch or looking at a mobile phone but if you preferred a mobile to a Pocket Watch, I really consider it to be the same in terms of looking. You have to get both out of your pocket, purse or bag to look at the time.
This... and also I would like a Pocket Watch for its elegance.Would you prefer a Pocket Watch to a wrist watch of a mobile phone?Which do you think it to be more to your tastes, not in fashion.
| | Wristwatch or pocket watch? | | Do you prefer a wristwatch or a pocket watch? I wear a wristwatch, but I have always wanted a pocket watch. I have not bought one yet, but I will likely buy one eventually. I don’t really know if I would like it or not, because I have never tried to carry one, but they look cool. Maybe I will just start to collect them, even if I do not start to use them daily. | |

| | Somewhere In Time | | I just watched Somewhere in time again last night. I almost forgot how great it was. It was one of the best movies of all time. Jane Seymour and Christopher Reeve are perfect for the characters. The movie was so amazing. Richard Collier (Reeve) was a playwright. At one of his plays, an old woman approached her and gave him a gold pocket watch. She said, 'come back to me'. The people were thrilled for they never knew who it was. 8 years have passed Collier decided to go on a vacation and stayed at a very old Hotel. At this hotel, There was a room called Hall of History (more like a very small museum inside the hotel). He saw a portrait of a young beautiful woman who turned out to be a great actress, Elise Mckenna (Seymour). He fell in love with the picture. He found himself coming back several times just to look at the picture. He did a research and he found out that the old lady who gave him the watch was Elise. and then he thought of time travel, if it's really possible. For all of you who haven't seen the movie yet, take time to watch it. You can stream or download it on stagevu.com. Ask your parents about it. Have a nice day!;) | |

| Castaway experience which you will never forget | | if anyone ever had any doubt about the quality of tom hanks then this movie is will definitely clear all his doubts. tom hanks as Chuck is a fedex relationship manager. He is in love with kelly. They were very close to getting married. But suddenly Tom is given the responsibility of a very important meeting for which he has to fly.
Before going he gives kelly a box. inside the box he kept a ring and told her not to open until New Year's eve. kelly also gives him a pocket watch with her picture inside it. Tom flies away to Moscow for his business trip when suddenly he meets with an accident with his plane..Disaster strikes but he is saved somehow by the inflatable raft.somehow he reaches a deserted island and he discovers thatas he is alone is he has to all to save himself and keep him alive.
This is the best part of the movie where it is shown how he survives in the deserted island. He collects rain water so that he can drink. The tries to catch fishes and crabs to eat.slowly he finds the remains of the plane and the career which was going along with the plane. He opens them as he understands that he would not be seeing the world very quickly so we'll starts opening them...

| What's your opinion about pocket watches? | | Wristwatches are more useful nowadays, and they are more popular, but I'd still love to give my man a pocket watch. I think it's classy, elegant and it's simply timeless. There's something in it that makes it really look special. What's your opinion about this? | |
