| This is one for Obama that was very long over due.The W.A.S.P.s, better known perhaps as the Women's Air Service Pilots, formed and served in WWII US air space, shuttled military aircraft all over the US, freeing up much needed pilots for active duty over seas.These women died in training, yet remained dedicated to flying so much so, that fear of death didn't stop them.They became an essential part of military logistics and deserve to have a pat on the back, and some formal recognition.I am Canadian, yet I extend congradulations to these women, ground breakers each one and I salute them all.Well deserved girls. |
